Castlebar man to be recommended to become Mayo Minor manager

The Castlebar Mitchels man served as selector on David Heaney and Tom Reilly's time as Mayo Minor management team.

Today, it has been announced that Diarmuid Byrne will be put forward for ratification as the new Mayo GAA Minor Manager.

The Mayo GAA U17 Management Appointment Committee have recommended to the Coiste Bainistíochta of Mayo GAA that Castlebar’s Diarmuid Byrne be put forward for ratification as the new manager of the Mayo GAA Minor footballers. Mayo GAA’s Coiste Bainistíochta will review the recommendation at their next meeting and if accepted, Diarmuid Byrne will be recommended to delegates at the October meeting of the Coiste Contae.

The Castlebar Mitchels clubman served as a coach under joint managers Tom Reilly and David Haney who both departed their role in the past few months.
