The Crossmaglen native has confirmed he's out of the running to be Mayo's next manager
One of the front runners for the vacant Mayo GAA senior managerial job, Oisin McConville, is the latest candidate to drop out of running for the vacancy.
McConville who has made some impressive improvements while managing Wicklow in recent times has extended his deal there and is set to lead the Garden County for the next two years.
The Crossmaglen native was linked with a Mayo role as part of Ray Dempsey’s managerial team back in 2022 but ultimately, Kevin McStay was appointed as manager.

The Wicklow manager led his side to the semi-final of the Tailteann Cup this season and produced a shock victory over competition favourites Westmeath along the way.
After the recent Mayo County Board meeting, it has been confirmed that a process is in place where applicants can apply soon as the next Mayo manager will be appointed before the end of the group stages in the club championship which means Mayo GAA will be hoping to have their next manager in place by September.
