After Mayo's All-Ireland Football Championship win against Tyrone in Omagh, two defenders have been named in the GAA Football Team of the week

Mayo players Jack Coyne and Paddy Durcan have been named in the latest GAA.ie Football Team of the week. 

The two Mayo defenders were crucial in Mayo’s win in Omagh, where they overcame Tyrone in a game where most wrote off Mayo’s chances. 

Castlebar’s Paddy Durcan was named as the man of the match in the game as the Castlebar Mitchels man kicked three points in what was his first start since he suffered a serious knee injury.

Jack Coyne was faced with keeping tabs on Tyrone’s attackers, in which the Ballyhaunis man did so with great effect. 

Mayo now face Donegal next in what will define the Championship campaign for the men in green and red.
