The Mayo minor management team have made a raft of changes in advance of their penultimate Connacht Championship group stage tie against Galway.

Joint managers Tom Reilly and David Heaney will be approaching this game in Tuam Stadium with one eye on next Friday’s semi-final tie against the same opposition in MacHale Park.

With that in mind, there have been wholesale changes to the side that started the side’s 3-19 to 1-10 walloping of Sligo last Friday.

Westport net-minder Thomas Williams retains his spot between the sticks, continuing his streak of playing every game so far, while Breaffy man Rhys Neary also starts on the back of his goal last time out.

Among those coming into the fold are Tony Carey and Ben Joyce, who both pointed during their cameos from the bench in the Sligo clash.

The team is as follows:

Mayo U17: Thomas Williams; Sean McCann, Peter Quinn, Caoimhin Donnelly; Gavin Duffy, Maidhc Óg Staunton; Eoghan Dever; Jack Noone, Ben Joyce; Rhys Neary, Oisin McCann, Dara Dawson; Fionn Conlon, Tony Carey, Patrick Garvey.

Galway v Mayo throws in tonight (Friday, April 18) at 6.30 pm in Tuam Stadium, Galway. We’ll have all the updates here, while the clash will be streamed here. Tickets can be purchased from this link.
