BURRISHOOLE will be without one of their greatest-ever footballers for the coming season as Jason Doherty has opted out of their intermediate team.
Liam O’Malley, Burrishoole’s intermediate men’s team manager, told The Mayo News that the former Mayo footballer will not play with the club in 2025.
Doherty played with Mayo and Burrishoole for several years while living and working in Dublin.
He is currently based in Galway, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
