THE Mayo club football season will be in full swing very shortly and teams across the county are busily preparing for the divisional competitions. A number of clubs have appointed management teams in recent weeks and county junior champions, Cill Chomain have ended their search successfully.

Back in January, Nigel Reape, who had guided the Gaeltacht men to the county title, stepped aside due to work commitments. However, The Mayo News understands that the Knockmore native will be back on the Cill Chomain sideline again in the coming weeks.
Reape, who first paired up with Cill Chomain in 2022, will be joined by his outgoing management team, John Maloney, Sean McLoughlin and Alan Coyle. The Erris men will compete in the intermediate championship in 2025.
