AIDAN O’Shea and Jack Coyne have been named to start for Mayo in tomorrow’s league clash with Kerry in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park.
O’Shea and Coyne are the two changes to the Mayo team that drew away to Armagh last Saturday evening as Kevin McStay’s men seek their second of the league campaign.
Coyne comes into defence in place of Belmullet’s Eoin O’Donoghue while O’Shea is listed to start at corner-forward in place of Conor Reid from Moy Davitts.
Should he start, Aidan O’Shea will be making his 181st senior starting appearance for Mayo in all competitions.
The Kingdom had a 0-16 0-15 win over Mayo in their last league encounter in MacHale Park in 2024.
Kerry have yet to announce their team to play Mayo, but it is expected that their star forward, David Clifford, who kicked 1-1 from the bench in their recent win over Monaghan, will start tomorrow’s game, which throws in at 3 pm.
The Mayo team named to start against Kerry is as follows: Colm Reape (Knockmore), Jack Coyne (Ballyhaunis), Donnacha McHugh (Castlebar Mitchels), Enda Hession (Garrymore); Stephen Coen (Hollymount/Carramore, captain), David McBrien (Ballaghderreen), Eoghan McLaughlin (Westport); Frank Irwin (Ballina Stephenites), Matthew Ruane (Breaffy); Davitt Neary (Breaffy), Darren McHale (Knockmore), Jordan Flynn (Crossmolina Deel Rovers); Aidan O’Shea (Breaffy), Ryan O’Donoghue (Béal an Mhuirthead), Paul Towey (Charlestown Sarsfields).
