Three Mayo players selected for GAA Minor Star Football Team of The Year

THREE members of the Mayo team that reached the All-Ireland semi-final have been selected for the 2024 Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Football Team of the Year.

Crossmolina duo Oisín Deane and Kobe McDonald and Tom Hession of Eastern Gaels have been selected on the fifteen-man team after a year which saw them retain their Connacht title by defeating Roscommon in Dr Hyde Park. Deane and McDonald contributed nine points to Mayo's 0-14 0-10 win before Hession accepted the trophy as team captain. 

Tom Reilly and David Heaney's charges saw their All-Ireland campaign ended at the semi-final stage by Armagh, who subsequently lost to Derry in an All-Ulster All-Ireland final. 

The full 2024 Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Football Team of the Year is as follows: Kacper Robak (Kerry and Dr. Crokes); Tom Hession (Mayo and Eastern Gaels), Ronan Canavan (Derry and Brian Ógs Steelstown), Conall Wilson (Armagh and St Peter’s); Luke Grant (Derry and Greenlough) Ben Murphy (Kerry and Austin Stacks), Diarmaid O’Rourke (Armagh and St Patricks Dromintee); James Sargent (Derry and Lavey), Dáithí O’Callaghan (Armagh and Carrickcruppen St Patricks GAA); Eamon Young (Derry and Newbridge), Kobe McDonald (Mayo and Crossmolina Deel Rovers), Gearóid White (Kerry and John Mitchels); Eoin Duffy (Armagh and Culloville Blues GAC), Oisín Deane (Mayo and Crossmolina Deel Rovers), Dylan Rocks (Derry and Loup).
