MAYO U-20 manager Peadar Gardiner has made three changes to his starting team for their Connacht championship clash with Sligo in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park tomorrow evening (Wednesday).
John MacMonagle (Castlebar Mitchels), Jack Melvin (Davitts) and Finbarr McLaughlin (Westport) all start in place of Eoin McGreal, Brendan Collins and Liam Moore, who started in their surprise defeat to Andy Moran’s Leitrim.
Mayo come into to this game needing a win to insure a place in a provincial final or semi-final.
The team that finishes first following the round robin phase will automatically qualify for the final while the second- and third-placed teams will contest a semi-final to decide the final pairing.
Mayo have beaten Galway, drawn with Roscommon and lost to Leitrim so far in their campaign, leaving them in joint-third place with Sligo and Roscommon.
The Mayo U-20 named to start against Sligo is as follows: David Dolan (Balla); Rio Mortimer (Claremorris), John MacMonagle (Castlebar Mitchels), David Slattery (Claremorris); Diarmuid Duffy (Ballinrobe), Sean Morahan (Castlebar Mitchels, captain), Tom O'Flaherty (Aghamore); Jack Melvin (Davitts), Conal Dawson (Westport), Finbarr McLaughlin (Westport), Cathal Keaveney (Parke Keelogues Crimlin), Oisín Cronin (Balla), Darragh Beirne (Claremorris), Niall Hurley (Claremorris), Darragh Reilly (Parke Keelogues Crimlin)
