An Garda Síochána Mayo registered a lack of focus shown by a driver on the N5.

Gardaí from the Mayo Roads Policing Unit seized a vehicle on Sunday night after a quick check on the Garda mobility app showed:

The driver was disqualified from driving, the vehicle had no NCT, Tax or Insurance.

This motorist now faces:
• A court appearance
• Up to 2 years imprisonment
• A fine of up to €5,000
• A further, lengthy ban from driving

Gardaí warn, that driving while disqualified is not a mistake — it is a deliberate choice that endangers every other road user.
