Pics: An Garda Síochána Mayo
An Garda Síochána Mayo have conducted searches in Castlebar and Ballina.
On Thursday June 26, the MRL Drugs Unit Mayo & the MRL Divisional Search team were out under the auspices of Op Tara.
Assistance was provided by the Garda Dog Unit and the Armed Support Unit.
Three properties were searched under warrant. Several public areas suspected to be used for the storage of drugs were also searched.
A number of weapons were seized from a property in Castlebar and cannabis with an estimated street value of €1,000 was located at a drugs hide in Ballina.
No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.
