Knock Airport in Mayo has issued essential travel information as more and more families will take off to their holidays.

The Ireland West Airport social media post reads: "School's out and we know you can't wait to get away this summer but we'd like to advise all passengers to follow the below guidelines when arriving at the airport during the busy summer season:

Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight if checking in bags

Arrive at least 90 minutes before your flight if travelling with carry on luggage

Any passengers arriving at the airport less than 90 minutes prior to their flight departure time are at risk of incurring delays during busy periods.
