A Mayo pub, which is owned by an ex-League of Ireland footballer, has been selected as part of FBD’s €275,000 Advertising Support Campaign for small and medium-sized businesses.
Connolly’s in Hollymount, which is run and co-founded by former Finn Harps and Galway United player Ryan Connolly, as well as his father Tom, will receive €25,000 in advertising support to market the pub to potential punters. The support will come by way of an extensive advertising and marketing campaign

The pair took over the pub, formerly known as Finnerty’s, in late 2023, and will see the funding as a significant boost from the insurance brokers, now in their second year of the initiative.
The advertising initiatives also featured testimonies from local customers.
For FBD’s Head of Marketing, Sharon Treanor, Connolly’s Bar was a more than worthy recipient.
This advertising support campaign is about giving these businesses the visibility they deserve, helping them share their stories and reach more customers during what continues to be a challenging time for many small enterprises,” she stated.
