A Mayo pub, which is owned by an ex-League of Ireland footballer, has been selected as part of FBD’s €275,000 Advertising Support Campaign for small and medium-sized businesses.

The pair took over the pub, formerly known as Finnerty’s, in late 2023, and will see the funding as a significant boost from the insurance brokers, now in their second year of the initiative.

The advertising initiatives also featured testimonies from local customers.

For FBD’s Head of Marketing, Sharon Treanor, Connolly’s Bar was a more than worthy recipient.
