Attendees will be treated to a unique glimpse into Claremorris' past through beautifully restored photographs captured between 1926 and 1960.

This Culture Night, Claremorris Historical Society is set to host a magical event where attendees will be invited to step back into the twentieth century.

On Friday, September 18, at 7:45 pm, Claremorris Town Hall will host a special presentation featuring dozens of fascinating full-colour photographs of people, shops and streetscapes in Claremorris, captured between 1926 and 1960.

Beautifully restored by Andrew Newman, these remarkable images offer a unique glimpse into the town’s past. Local historian Colmán Ó Raghallaigh will bring the photographs to life, sharing the fascinating stories and memories behind each image.

Earlier that evening, from 4:15 pm to 7:15 pm, visitors can also enjoy an exhibition in the Town Hall Studio featuring photographs from our recent presentation, ‘Through the Streets of Claremorris 1900–1925’.
