Irish Rail drop Christmas train schedule for Mayo customers

Mayo travellers by train over the festive period should pay attention.

Iarnród Éireann customers are advised that our services will operate on a reduced schedule from the 24th December to 1st January, inclusive as part of our Christmas and New Year timetable. Normal service will resume from 2nd January.

There will be no train services on Christmas Day 25th or St. Stephen’s Day 26th December.

The Customer Help Centre will operate with the following hours from 26th December to 1st January:

7:00 - 19:00 Weekdays
8:00 - 18:00 Saturdays
10:00 - 18:00 Sundays and Public Holidays

The Customer Help Centre will be closed Christmas Day December 25, 2025

Irish Rail urges travellers to check times, before travel, during this festive period.
