Mayo town Christmas lights switch-on set for November 21

Castlebar will officially welcome the festive season on Saturday, November 21, with a Christmas lights celebration organised by Mayo County Council in conjunction with Castlebar Chamber of Commerce.

The event will take place at Market Square, with entertainment getting underway from 4.30pm.

Families and visitors can look forward to an afternoon of festive activities, including live music, Christmas storytelling, treats and appearances by special guests.

Organisers are inviting people from across Castlebar and the surrounding areas to come along and enjoy the celebrations as the town lights up for Christmas.

Road closures will be in place from 4pm to help ensure a safe and family-friendly event.

Mayo County Council and Castlebar Chamber of Commerce are encouraging the public to come together and enjoy the start of the Christmas season in the town.
