Delays expected in centre of Mayo town due to road closure next week

The closures and diversions throughout the duration of the works are set to stretch into the middle of next week, says Mayo County Council

Mayo County Council have confirmed that a road closure, which is set to cause possible delays, will get underway next week.

The closure to traffic in Castlebar town will get underway on Monday, May 25, and will last three days until Wednesday, May 27.

The works will be located on the junction of Richard Street and Upper Charles Street outside FBD Insurance.

Works will commence at 7 pm each day and will finish at 5 am.

Diversions will be in place throughout, while local access will be permitted for residents on the route.

Delays are possible.

However, emergency vehicles will be permitted where necessary.
