Around 400 households in the Pontoon Road, Ross, and Crimlin areas of Castlebar are without water this evening (Wednesday, March 4) following a burst main, Uisce Éireann has confirmed.
Repair work is underway, with crews currently mobilising to isolate and fix the damaged pipe. Normal supply is expected to be restored by 11pm tonight.
Traffic management measures have been put in place outside the Sacred Heart Hospital on the Pontoon Road to allow safe access for repair teams.
Uisce Éireann has diverted water to the hospital to maintain its supply and is in contact with hospital management.
