INMO 'trolley watch' numbers remain high at MUH

INMO 'trolley watch' numbers figures have remained high at Mayo University Hospital this week.

Today, (Tuesday, January 7), sees a total of 28 patients waiting for beds at MUH, which is among the highest in the country. 

Of the 28 patients, 11 are awaiting a bed in the emergency department, while a further 17 are in wards elsewhere. 

Despite a dip in figures from yesterday (Tuesday, January 6), the number of patients has increased by 9 in the last 24 hours. 

The figures come as INMO 2025 stats place Mayo University Hospital amongst the top ten for overcrowding in the country.
