Customers in Mayo county town shop Unit 7 will have hardly believed their eyes today.

It's not every day a former Rugby international pops into the shop.

Tommy Bowe, also known for his work as TV presenter, walked into the Unit 7 men's wear shop on Market Street in Castlebar this morning and wasn't shy to do one of the shoppers a favour:

"There was a customer looking at a couple of the Tommy Bow jackets, the brand is called Fifteen Kings, and he bought two jackets for the lady, which was very kind of him," said Richard Needham, Unit 7 owner.

Bowe had an outstanding career, playing for Ulster, Ospreys, 69 caps for Ireland and five caps for the British & Irish Lions on two tours, 2009 and 2013.
