The announcement comes on the back of a series of sell-out shows around the country, and will be well received by comedy fans in the county as one of the biggest stars in mainstream comedy will be touching down in the West.
The blockbuster news was well received by the TF Royal’s general manager, Michael Yates.
“It’s not every day we get to host a global comedy icon such as Michael McIntyre, and we’re proud to bring this level of entertainment to the West of Ireland,” he stated. “This is a huge moment for Castlebar and a testament to the Royal Theatre’s growing reputation as a major destination for top-tier live events.”
Those sentiments were echoed by the venue’s Managing Director, Pat Jennings.
“All other dates on this tour throughout the world have sold out, so this announcement gives local audiences a final opportunity to catch one of the biggest names in comedy.
“This event reflects the growing cultural vibrancy of the West and reinforces our commitment to attracting world-class acts. We expect a phenomenal response and look forward to welcoming comedy fans from across the country.”
