It has been revealed that a Mayo school has seen an extension project approved by the government.
The approval, which was revealed by the Minister of State Alan Dillon (Fine Gael), will see space created for special education teaching rooms in St Peter's National School, Snugboro.

Awarded under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme, approval has been granted for 3 additional classrooms and the reconfiguration of rooms to create four special education teaching rooms and two class base SEN, to provide a special class for children with special education needs.
Speaking on the project, Minister Dillon was quick to welcome the news and laud its potential impact.
“This is fantastic news for the popular Castlebar School and their wider community," he stated. "It will provide much-needed facilities for the current students and staff."
The school in the county town has 300 students, as well as employing 25 staff.
