Maureen McAndrew of ‘Make Your Wardrobe Work’ and make-up artist Dee Ruddy are set to return for another in-store event celebrating sustainable fashion in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice, this time in Belmullet Hospice Shop.
This coming Black Friday, November 28, the pair are looking for shoppers to go Green this Black Friday by shopping sustainably, preloved, and locally at their in-store event, which will take place from 11 am to 5 pm.
Speaking ahead of the event, Manager of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Shop, Belmullet, Ann Gallagher, said,
“Our shop in Belmullet on Chapel Street has been open since 2018. Everyone who calls in to support us always comments on the great atmosphere, especially in the back room, where there’s always plenty of laughter, chats, and good craic while everyone gets stuck into their work.
“Every time we host a fundraiser, the people of Erris show up and support us in all their glory. The kindness, community spirit, and support from Erris never go unnoticed, and we’re so grateful to have such an incredible community behind us.” She added.
Maureen McAndrew, from Make Your Wardrobe Work, expressed her delight to be back working with Mayo Roscommon Hospice to host an event again.
“Every time we’ve collaborated with the team, the community response has been incredible, and it’s been wonderful to see how successful previous events have become.
“This time, we really want to shine a spotlight on sustainability, choosing preloved, choosing local, and choosing to make a positive impact. Instead of the usual Black Friday frenzy, ‘Green Friday’ gives us a chance to celebrate fashion that is kinder to our planet and to support the fantastic work the hospice shop does right here in our community.”
Make-up artist Dee Ruddy also spoke ahead of the charity event for Mayo Roscommon Hospice.
“Mayo Roscommon Hospice holds a very special place in our hearts, and it has been a privilege to work alongside them in Belmullet and in their other shops across the region.
“Every event we have been part of has shown just how generous and supportive the local communities are, with people turning out in force to lend a hand, donate, and get involved for such an important cause.”
