Dooagh Folk Festival is offering a trip to Nashville as a prize in charity draw
A Mayo-based music festival has launched a charity raffle to support two charities with a trip to the capital of Country Music the top prize on offer.
The Dooagh Folk Festival on Achill Island has once again launched its much-anticipated charity raffle, with an ambitious target of raising €15,000 in support of two exceptional causes – local charity Gearóid’s Smile and The Dillon Quirke Foundation.
Both charities work tirelessly to support families and communities, making every raffle ticket purchased a contribution that truly matters.
The Dooagh Folk Festival takes place from September 12 to 14 with legendary Irish folk band, Stockton's Wing one of the headline acts.
This year’s raffle prizes promise to strike a chord with music lovers everywhere. The first prize is an unforgettable trip for two to Nashville, Tennessee – the music capital of the USA. The package includes return flights with Aer Lingus, four-star accommodation, and the chance to soak up the city’s legendary live music, iconic honky-tonks and historic recording studios. The perfect getaway for those who live and breathe great music.
The second prize offers something closer to home but no less magical – two exclusive VIP passes to Dooagh Folk Festival 2026. Winners will enjoy accommodation courtesy of the Achill Cliff House, access to every concert and event across the weekend, and a festival merchandise pack to take the memories home.

Launching the raffle, Festival Director Seán Lynch said: “The Dooagh Folk Festival is built on community spirit, and this raffle is one of the most important ways we can give back. By supporting these two brilliant charities, every ticket bought makes a real difference – and with prizes like a trip to Nashville or a VIP weekend in Achill for next year's festival, there’s every reason to get involved.”
Gearóid’s Smile is an Achill Island community initiative set up in memory of Gearóid Murphy from Pollagh in Achill who passed away from cancer aged six years in September 2014. It is dedicated to spreading joy and support to young people through positive mental health projects, youth activities and local engagement.
The Dillon Quirke Foundation, set up in memory of the former Tipperary hurler whose life was tragically cut short due to Sudden Adult Death Syndrome (SADS), works tirelessly to raise awareness, fund screening programmes, and save lives through early detection.
Tickets for the raffle are now on sale, and organisers are calling on friends, families and festival fans alike to get behind the campaign and help reach the target. Every entry not only brings you closer to an incredible prize but also helps support vital initiatives that are changing lives.
