Uisce Éireann has said it typically takes three to four hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all affected customers.

Uisce Éireann has issued an update following a burst water main in north Mayo this morning (Friday, April 3). 

Uisce Éireann crews have completed repairs to the main, and water is now being restored to the majority of impacted customers in Ballina.

Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill said: “We understand the disruption an unplanned outage like this can cause and would like to thank customers for their patience while crews worked to repair the burst.”

Uisce Éireann has said it typically takes three to four hours following repairs for normal supply to be restored to all affected customers. However, it may take longer for customers at the end of the network or on higher ground as the system recharges.
