Traditional signage in the heart of Ballina is set to receive a facelift following a new initiative led by local councillor Marie-Thérèse Duffy.
Funding has been allocated to clean and restore the town’s historic signs, with works already underway to carefully remove, repaint and reinstate them.
Cllr Duffy said the project aims to enhance the appearance of Ballina town centre while preserving elements of its heritage.
The restoration process involves taking down the signs so they can be professionally cleaned and repainted before being returned to their original locations.
