Former Mayo TD and Killala councillor congratulated on birth of son

Congratulations were extended to former Mayo TD Lisa Chambers and her husband Killala-based councillor Jarlath Munnelly on the birth of their son, Leo.

Members of Ballina Municipal District extended their congratulations to Fine Gael councillor Jarlath Munnelly and Ms Chambers on the birth of their second child at the monthly meeting of the municipal district.

Crossmolina-based councillor Michael Loftus was the first to offer his congratulations to Cllr Munnelly and Ms Chambers on the birth of Leo saying it was nice to see new life coming into the world.

Cllr Annie May Reape said she was delighted to hear of the birth of baby Leo, adding that it was 'a very appropriate name' and wondered in jest if he was named after the Pope.

Fine Gael councillor John O'Hara also offered his congratulations saying Leo was another 'heir to the throne' as did Independent councillor Joe Faughnan.

Ballina-based councillor Marie Therese Duffy congratulated Cllr Munnelly and Ms Chambers saying Leo was a lovely name while Head of the Municipal District, Declan Turnbull said he hopes the current Cathaoirleach is able to get some sleep in the weeks and months ahead.

Cllr Munnelly thanked his fellow councillors for their kind words.
