The Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) has appointed Mayo native, David Rowe, as Chair of its West and North West Regional Committee.

The Ballina native will represent chartered surveyors working across the western and north-western regions of Ireland.

The SCSI is the independent professional body for chartered surveyors in Ireland and operates in partnership with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

As Regional Chair, David will oversee engagement with chartered property, land, and construction surveyors in the region. The role also involves promoting the surveying profession, supporting students considering careers in the sector, and assisting property graduates as they progress through professional competencies on the pathway to chartered status.

Speaking following his election, David said:

“It is an honour to be elected to this position, and I look forward to meeting with other surveyors in different sectors of the organisation throughout the west, while continuing to build on the foundations already set by peers and fellow members of the surveying world in the West of Ireland.”

In addition to his regional responsibilities, David will represent the West and North West on the SCSI Council, working in conjunction with RICS at national level.
