Separately, water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in Knockmore who were impacted by an unplanned outage this morning. The outage was caused by a pump failure which has now been repaired.
Customers may continue to experience low pressure or reduced supply over the course of the afternoon while the network recharges. Alternative Water Supplies are being made available for impacted customers. These water tankers are being deployed at the following locations:
Customers are advised to use their own containers when taking water from a tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure, as per advice from the Health Service Executive.
Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill thanked impacted customers in Ballina and Knockmore for their understanding as we work to resolve these separate issues.
“We understand the inconvenience of unplanned outages and we thank customers for their support while our works continue,” said Colette.
