Louise Duffy in the RTÉ Roadcaster at Westport Octagon
In a dramatic shake-up at the national broadcaster, Mayo woman Louise Duffy is one of the big winners.
Her eponymous ‘Louise Duffy Show’ will be moving to the prime radio slot vacated in recent days by broadcaster Ray D’Arcy.
Listeners will be able to join her on RTÉ Radio between 3pm and 4pm, where her eclectic taste in music will take over the airwaves between Liveline and Drivetime.
Earlier this summer, Duffy took her radio show to Westport to broadcast live from the Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival.
Speaking to The Mayo News at the time, she described the festival as ‘incredible’ and was relishing meeting up with her parents and brother, who live locally.

The radio presenter made the move to RTÉ in 2022, taking over from broadcasting legend Ronan Collins in the 12pm to 1pm slot, which many described as the biggest music show in the country.
Prior to that, she spent eight years presenting and making shows at Today FM, where she won an IMRO award for her Lost In Music.
