The Tidy Towns committee saw equipment stolen on Tuesday night.
A Mayo Tidy Towns group were left 'heartbroken' after their stores were broken into earlier in the week, with thousands of euros worth of equipment stolen.
On Tuesday, September 2, the stores of Ballina Tidy Towns saw a large portion of their equipment stolen during the night, including leafblowers and strimmers, alongside other gardening/outside work equipment.
The organisation are dedicated to making the town on the banks of the River Moy clean and tidy, and give countless hours to tasks such as weeding, planting greenery, cleaning the streets, paths, and laneways, and everything in between.
"As you can imagine, this theft has left us heartbroken and will severely impact our ability to carry on the valuable work of our organisation," they wrote in a statement on their Facebook page.
The Tidy Towns group also asked anyone who has any information on the theft to contact An Garda Síochána in Ballina on 096 20560.
