One of Mayo's institutions when it comes to keeping history alive, The Jacke Clarke Collection in Ballina, has secured crucial funding.
The museum announced "We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news! The Jackie Clarke Collection has been awarded funding through the Heritage Council’s Heritage Stewardship Fund 2025 to implement a professional Collections Management System (CMS)."

That will enable the place to catalogue their material further, and make the collection more accessible, 'ensuring its long-term preservation and broader engagement with researchers, educators and the public. This exciting development will help us better manage, preserve, and share our collections – making them more accessible and engaging for everyone,' the Jackie Clarke Foundation explained.
