The Misunderstood Heron was a popular place among Mayo people at its previous locations

Foodies from Mayo and beyond will be excited to hear the news that the popular Misunderstood Heron will be opening in the iconic Campbell’s pub in Murrisk in April. 

This will be the insta-friendly eatery's third home in three years and it promises to deliver its “day time cafe vibes with pasties, cakes, coffee, alongside a small and mighty locally sourced food menu.”

The creative culinary delights will be cooked up in the shadow of Croagh Patrick.

The foodtruck built up an international fanbase at its original scenic location at Killary Fjord over eight years, before it was forced to close Galway County Council on the grounds of an alleged planning permission violation,


Last summer, it took up residence in P. Dan’s Bar & Restaurant in Killadoon between June and September.
