Freya Renton from Sacred Heart School Westport won the All Ireland Track and Field 1500m Inter gold medal
A Mayo athletics rising star shines at the Schools All Ireland Track and Field finals.
Another super day out for Freya Renton from Sacred Heart School Westport as she came home with yet another All Ireland title secured - the Inter 1500m gold medal will now be fighting for its place in the bulging Renton trophy cabinet.
She also claimed silver in the 3000m race with a time that would have set a new championship record.
Her sister Holly Renton finished a strong fifth in the 3000m and 6th in the 1500m. Both Renton girls are eligible for the intermediate category again next year.
Willow O'Malley was also running in two events this year and is now the 6th fastest 75m hurdler in Ireland in the minor category, as well as being the 8th fastest 100m sprinter.
May Duckett finished 10th in the junior 1500m. And First Year Kasey Walsh was 11th in the minor High Jump.
