2 Johnnies star Johnny McMahon, known as Johnny Smacks, sustained an injury at the duo's gig in Dublin's 3Arena on Saturday night.

The Tipperary pair were playing to almost 15,000 people at the Dublin venue when apparently a Garth Brooks-esque guitar smash went wrong.

Roscrea native Smacks was seen feeling the effects and subsequently attended hospital where it appears he has a fracture in his right hand.

Johnny B took to the 2 Johnnies social media pages to update fans Late last night.

"He’s ok! Smashed guitars and broken bones. What's a 2 Johnnies gig without a few broken hurleys," he said.

"Thanks a million to everyone who came tonight, unbelievable scenes," he added.

Fans were quick to compliment the pair on the show and wish Johnny Smacks a speedy recovery.

One fan wrote: "Poor Smacks, thought he was just being dramatic. Great show lads."

Another added: "You're going soft lad!!! Pull hard and pull Often. Speedy recovery, thanks for a great show."
