WESTPORT Squash Club have paid tribute to the late Stephen Walsh by running a successful tournament in his memory.

Stephen, who was a much-loved club member, passed away suddenly in 2022 at the age of 22.

“This charity holds a very special place in our hearts now and we are so delighted that money was raised in Stephen’s memory to help other families in difficult circumstances,” Martin said.

Shane Larkin, Treasurer of Westport Squash Club, described Stephen as ‘a great member’ of the club.

“It was the first night to try it [the tournament] and I think it was a roaring success. I think Stephen would have been proud of it,” he said.

“I think it really epitomises what he was about; fun-loving, such a nice guy and always nice to be around and always a friendly face in this club, so well done to everyone.”
