The Mayo GAA executive has fired senior football manager Kevin McStay and his management team.

Mayo exited the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship at the group stage. A defeat against Donegal inflicted with the last kick of the ball ended the season for Mayo.

And then the bombshell was dropped yesterday evening late after 9pm. 

The GAA world is still dealing with the aftershocks. Comments online read 'shameful', 'disgusting' and 'no class from Mayo GAA'.
