WATCH: Patsy O'Brien re-elected in Claremorris area

Independent Richard Finn expected to be elected on second count

Independent Patsy O'Brien has been re-elected to the Mayo County Council in the first count in the Claremorris area. O'Brien received 2,739 first preference votes coming out on top and taking him over the quote of 1,954.

His 789 surplus votes will now be distributed during count two. Fellow Independent Richard Finn from Claremorris needs another 123 votes to reach the quota and be re-elected.
