WATCH: In and out in 40 seconds: Dramatic video of Mayo robbery

Ten thousand euros worth of iPhones and iPad robbed from phone shop on one of the main streets in Ballina

Gardaí are investigating a burglary at a mobile phone shop in Ballina that occurred in the early hours of the morning on January 7.

The Fone4U shop on Tone Street was broken into shortly after 3:00 am on Wednesday, January 7, with €10,000 worth of iPhones and iPads stolen in less than forty seconds.

Shop owner Noman Ishak spoke to The Mayo News about the break-in and confirmed that the stolen phones will be covered by insurance.

He revealed that while this was the first break-in at his Ballina location, his businesses have previously been targeted in Sligo and Bray.

The shop owner has appealed to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

Gardaí have carried out a technical examination of the scene, and investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballina Garda Station.
