Miss Louth Caoimhe Kenny and daughter of the former Ireland manager, Stephen Kenny, was crowned the 77th Miss Ireland on Saturday night at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim, County Meath.
The 24-year-old Buying Assistant for Brown Thomas and Arnotts and Save Our Homeless Dundalk volunteer wowed the judges on the night to join the long legacy of previous winners such as Rosanna Davison, Amanda Brunker, Pamela Flood, Holly Carpenter and many more.
Commenting on her big win, Caoimhe said: "Winning Miss Ireland is the greatest achievement of my life, a dream realised through hard work, perseverance, and belief in my purpose. Representing Ireland at Miss World is a once-in a lifetime opportunity, and I’m determined to make it count.
"I will use this platform to be a voice for change and a role model for young girls like me, girls who dream to make a difference, showing them that kindness, courage, and purpose can lead to real impact."
As the winner of the contest, Caoimhe will receive a lucrative agency contract as well as a host of prizes. She will also have a chance to represent Ireland next year on the international stage at the Miss World Festival.
