Mayo teenager retains Irish Dancing All-Ireland title
Another trophy for an already crowded cabinet as the Crossmolina teenager was crowned World Champion in 2024
Mayo teenager John Cosgrove has retained his U-17 All-Ireland championship.
It's another trophy for John's already crowded cabinet. In 2024 he was crowned World Champion, as The Mayo News reported.
Online, Moffatt School of Irish Dancing posted: "We are proud to present our Gents U17 Champion for the All-Ireland Championships for 2026, Mr. John Cosgrove! John, what more can we say! Your whole mentality and work ethic changed when we came back to class in September. You set yourself clear goals and challenges and you rose above and beyond them in every way imaginable! It takes a lot to achieve a title, but to retain one is even harder, but you did it and we are so proud of you!"
John has been coached by Sheila Moffatt and Cian Lavelle, without them his success would not have been possible.
