Last season saw Oisin Mullin and Geelong reach the final.

Across the weekend, Oisin Mullin’s Geelong side were in action when they faced Fremantle in a quarter-final clash. However, it was the end of the season for Mullin’s team as Geelong lost out 120-106.

Coming into the game, the Fremantle Dockers were the slight favourites to advance to the last four and although they have never claimed Premiership glory, The ‘Dockers’ looked comfortable throughout when they toppled Geelong, last season’s finalists.

At the end of the first quarter, Fremantle led 38-13 while the remainder of the game was competitive. Kilmaine native Oisin Mullin kicked a single score which is known as a ‘behind’ in the third quarter, but it wasn't enough as their opponents in purple led all the way.

Mullin’s side, nicknamed ‘The Cats’ finished the league ladder in fifth position while Fremantle have impressed all season as they claimed top spot after 23 games.

Along with the former Mayo star, Kerry native Mark O’Connor also featured for Geelong as the All Ireland club winner with Dingle saw the season end when the Fremantle Dockers advance to the last four where they’ll face Sydney Swans. In the other semi-final Hawthorn Hawks face the Brisbane Lions who have Tyrone native Conor McKenna in their ranks.
