This weekend will prove a pivotal one in the trajectory of many clubs in the Mayo Senior Club Championship.

The race for the Moclair Cup is heating up, and by the end only eight teams will remain standing in the joust for the crown held for the past three seasons by Ballina Stephenites.

All in all, every team bar one is coming into the weekend with something to fight for, be it the quarter-finals or the chance to avoid the relegation playoffs.

Here, we’ll run you through what each team needs in Round Three.

In the event that two sides finish level on points, the side which finishes higher will be determined first by the result between the sides. If that fixture finished in a draw, then score difference will be next.

If three or more sides finish level on points, scoring difference in the games between those three sides will be used to determine who finishes highest.

GROUP ONE

Claremorris face Charlestown Sarsfields, while local rivals Kilmeena and Westport lock horns

CLAREMORRIS

If Claremorris win or draw, they will finish first

If Claremorris lose and Westport draw or lose, they will finish second

If Claremorris lose and Westport win, whoever finishes first, second, and third will come down to scoring difference. Claremorris sit on 2, Westport on 17, and Charlestown Sarsfields on -19.

WESTPORT

If Westport win and Claremorris lose, whoever finishes first, second, and third will come down to scoring difference. Claremorris sit on 2 at present, with Westport on 17, and Charlestown Sarsfields on -19.

If Westport win or draw and Claremorris win or draw, they will finish second.

If Westport draw and Charlestown Sarsfields win, they will finish third.

Aghamore and Ballintubber play one another, while Mayo Gaels will lock horns with Crossmolina Deel Rovers
