The vice-captain was excellent all day as he produced yet another outstanding display.

Andy Moran’s Mayo side created a special memory in Croke Park today as this group captained by Jack Coyne claimed Mayo’s fourth ever All Ireland victory and the first since 1951.

The Mayo team produced an outstanding performance as every player contributed to a special day.

However, like every other game, there has to be a player of the match and GAA President Jarlath Burns announced that live on ‘The Sunday Game’.

From the Belmullet club, Ryan O’Donoghue was named as the standout player. The vice-captain had another excellent day as he kicked 0-5 including two super two pointers.

The hard-working attacker is also in real contention to be named ‘Footballer of The Year’.
