West Mayo GAA club seek extension for development works

Westport GAA is seeking an extension to the duration of planning permission for major development works at the Golf Course Road.

In 2021, a deal involving Mayo County Council and Westport GAA saw the agreement of a 99-year lease for a four-acre site on the Golf Course Road in Westport.

The planned development includes a full-size GAA pitch with floodlights, a spectator stand, changing rooms, a gym and a multi-purpose room at Westport Demesne. The works also provide for car and bus parking, along with a designated set-down area and a pedestrian walkway around the site.
