Mayo hotel joins Tourism Ireland at World Travel Market 2025

The Grace Westport Estate was among more than 70 Irish tourism businesses that joined Tourism Ireland at this year’s World Travel Market (WTM) in London, the world’s largest business-to-business event for the global travel and tourism industry.

The annual fair, which attracts thousands of travel professionals and tour operators from across the world, marked the beginning of Ireland’s international tourism promotional drive for 2026. The event provided a platform for Irish tourism businesses to connect with operators from established and emerging markets, including China, India, the Middle East, England, mainland Europe, and North America.

Alice Mansergh, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland, highlighted the importance of the event in driving international visibility for the destination.

“Our presence at World Travel Market was extremely important to kick-start our promotional drive overseas for 2026,” she said. 

“We were delighted to have around 75 tourism companies from across the island of Ireland, including The Grace Westport Estate, joining us at this year’s WTM.

"World Travel Market presents a unique opportunity for the travel industry to meet, network, negotiate and contract business for 2026 and beyond. We are targeting visitors who do more, see more, enjoy more – and therefore spend more – during their time in Ireland, to help tourism businesses across our island thrive.”

The event comes as Ireland experiences growth in tourism infrastructure and connectivity, with a 12% increase in air capacity to the island this winter. Tourism Ireland’s strategy for the coming year emphasizes promoting Ireland as a compelling year-round destination, highlighting the diversity of its regions, heritage, and experiences.

By participating in WTM, The Grace Westport Estate and other Irish tourism operators aimed to strengthen their global presence, attract new visitor segments, and contribute to Ireland’s continued success as a leading international travel destination.
