The staff and community at An Post are bidding a fond farewell to Michael Duffy, a beloved postal delivery man who has hung up his cap after an impressive 38 years of dedicated service. Throughout his career, the Kilmeena native was a familiar and friendly face, delivering mail across the Westport area with pride and professionalism.
In his final year, Michael covered the Cuilmore route, ensuring that his customers received their mail promptly and with a smile. Known for his strong work ethic, good humour, and friendly nature, Michael was highly regarded by both colleagues and customers alike.
His positive attitude and commitment to his work made him a treasured member of the DSU Westport team, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of working with him. Michael’s family currently operate the Kilmeena post office.
The team at An Post and the community wish Michael a very happy and fulfilling retirement.
