West Mayo duo raise over three thousand euro for important local charity

Shane Keogh and Padraig Nyland from Westport presented Lianne Mc Manamon from Mayo Mental Health Association with a cheque to the value of €3,584.62

The Mayo Mental Health Association wish to express a massive thank you to Shane Keogh from The Helm Bar and Restaurant at The Quay in Westport and Padraig Nyland from Westport for their recent donation of €3,584.62 to the association.

Back in March of this year, Shane and Padraig held a 'Head and Beard Shave' in The Helm. It was a night full of laughs and good fun. From there, Shane and Padraig continued to raise money behind the scenes over the last couple of months and the event has now come to a close.

“To everyone involved, we cannot thank you enough for all your support. It is very much appreciated. All monies raised go back out into our schools education programmes and community mental health promotion initiatives,” said Lianne McManamon of MMHA.
