The route was due to be closed from Wednesday, June 25, until last Friday, July 4 in order to facilitate excavation works.
However, the process is still ongoing and is anticipated to be completed within the coming days.
The same traffic management and diversion systems remain in place, with the L-5840 remaining open. Access for local commuters will also still be available.
