Fahey has been steeped in music from an early age. Remarkably, she began conducting choirs and performing in public at the age of 12, setting the stage for a lifelong dedication to the art form. Her academic journey in music led her to Maynooth University, where she earned qualifications in piano performance, composition, and conducting.
The original composition was written at home in Mayo and consists of twelve pieces, each themed around light.
It will be a big production with thirty members of the VOCALESSENCE Ladies Choir singing and twenty five members of the Mayo Concert Orchestra performing. This will be the biggest audience to hear the original piece. It has also been performed in Spain and the Holy Rosary Church, Castlebar.
Tickets are available on Eventbrite and proceeds are in aid of Holy Trinity Church Westport Restoration.
